If you PRACTISE – with an ‘s’ –
What will happen? Have a guess.
You are right – oh joy, oh glee –
You’ll get PRACTICE with a ‘c’.
As Anna Nolan’s ditty shows, the verb ‘to practise’ is written with an ‘s’, while the noun ‘the practice’ is written with a ‘c’.

Anna Nolan’s little ditties might help you remember some of those tricky grammar points. This one is not only difficult for non-native speakers!
‘WITH ME’ VERSUS ‘WITH I’
You must never even try
Saying, “Come with Greg and I”,
For it’s always – you will see –
Always, “Come with Greg and me”.
