I’m not a beer lover myself, so I can’t understand why British beer is so popular in China.
Apparently, the Chinese drink about 55 billion litres a year. According to this BBC article, there’s a “passion and curiosity for drinkable symbols of British tradition”.
Germany is famous for its beer. I wonder what the Chinese think about beer from German brewers? Any idea?
Years ago cheese was virtually unknown in China. However, it is now becoming more and more popular according to this article on the BBC website.A cheese shop which opened in 2009 and which had only foreign customers in the beginning, now has more Chinese customers! And the market is expected to continue growing.
