You Want an Answer? Don’t Ask a Question!

You Want an Answer? Don’t Ask a Question!

You Want an Answer? Don’t Ask a Question!

Cunningham’s Law states that “the best way to get the right answer on the internet is not to ask a question; it’s to post the wrong answer”.

It’s strange, isn’t it, how we sometimes ask a direct question and nearly nobody replies? But then if we post a wrong answer or an opposing viewpoint, people are much more likely to respond.

Is this something you have observed before? Or is it a strategy that you’ve even used yourself?

Telling the Time

Telling the Time

Telling the Time

If I organised a meeting with you, I’d say something like, “Let’s meet at 3pm” or “Let’s meet at 3 o’clock”. I would never say “Let’s meet at 15:00 hours”!

If I suggest we meet at noon—that means 12:00pm, at the very beginning of the afternoon. Or at midnight,—that means 12:00am, at the beginning of a new day!

We don’t use the  24-hour clock format in everyday conversation, but you’ll see it at train stations and airports—and of course, on digital clocks!

Become an Inspiration

Become an Inspiration

Become an Inspiration

“Let your life mean something. Become an inspiration to others so that they may try to do more and to become more than they are today.”
Thomas D. Willhite

If anyone has ever inspired you to change your life in a positive way, you will fully understand the difference that inspiration can make on someone’s life.

Are you doing your part to inspire others with the passion for succeeding?

Just a little food for thought! 😉

Another Riddle For You!

Another Riddle For You!

Another Riddle For You!

Here’s a riddle for you. You might have heard it before. I know it’s not new.

So here we go …

“Romeo and Juliet are found dead on the floor in a bedroom. When they were discovered, there were pieces of glass and some water on the floor. The only furniture in the room is a shelf and a bed. The house is in a remote location, away from everything except for the nearby railroad track.”

What caused the death of Romeo and Juliet? Any idea?

You can find the solution here!

Let’s Ride the Peace Train

Let’s Ride the Peace Train

Let’s Ride the Peace Train

“Peace Train” is a 1971 song by British singer-songwriter Cat Stevens (now known as Yusuf Islam), taken from his album “Teaser and the Firecat”.

In this “Song Around The World” version, Yusuf / Cat Stevens has teamed up with over 25 musicians from 12 countries to create a new version of his song track.

I was so moved by the song that I wanted to share it with you.

And here are just some of the lyrics if you want to sing along! laughing

“Now I’ve been happy lately
Thinking about the good things to come
And I believe it could be
Something good has begun
Oh, I’ve been smiling lately
Dreaming about the world as one
And I believe it could be
Someday it’s going to come

‘Cause I’m on the edge of darkness
There rides the Peace Train
Oh, Peace Train take this country
Come take me home again.”

Was there anything in particular that you enjoyed? The music? The text? The pictures? I’d love to know.
