How would you translate the following German sentence?
Wir müssen das heute nicht entscheiden.
I’d like to suggest something like:
We don’t have to decide today
Watch out for “müssen nicht“. It doesn’t mean “must not” (that’s dürfen nicht). Just use “don’t have to“.

- Develop a friendly greeting.
- Get names right.
- Focus on the other person.
- Remember personal details.
- Speak well of others.
- Stay upbeat and positive.

So you’re working on an important text that you’d like to send out via email. But, before you press that send button, stop – and proofread.
How?
- Read every sentence out loud.
- Reread what you’ve just written at least twice.
- Print your text out and read it on paper (you’ll be surprised how that can help you see mistakes better).
- Wait five minutes before you reread your text.
- Ask someone else to read it, too.
Find out what works best for you.

According to British etiquette expert William Hanson, we should only use the word “Champagne” if what we’re serving really is Champagne.
Instead of calling it ‘fizz’, ‘bubbly’ or ‘sparkling’, which you’ll often hear in Britain, call it by its real name “Prosecco’. It’s a perfectly acceptable drink.
