PLANT: The Word That’s a Whole Garden (and a Spy Mission!)

Did you know “plant” has SEVERAL meanings? Let’s dig in!

  1. Plant = 🌱 (your leafy buddy). “My basil plant loves sunlight.”
  2. Plant = 🏭 (a factory). “The new battery plant opened in Berlin.”
  3. Plant = 🕵️‍♂️ (to hide something). “He planted his phone under the couch.
  4. Plant = 🎥 (a spy!). “The villain was an undercover plant in the film.”

Fun Mix-Up: My friend once said, “I’ll plant myself at the plant to water the plant!” 🤯 Translation: “I’ll sit at the factory to water my flowers!”

Why It’s Cool:

  • Word Roots: From Latin planta (sprout). Factories “sprouted” the name later!
  • Travel Tip: In NYC, “Central Park Plant Tours” might mean trees… or spy drama. 😉

Challenge: Can you write one sentence using plant with TWO meanings?
