Take a look at these etiquette rules (link to: www.rd.com). I think a lot of them are just common sense, aren’t they?
Are there any rules that you don’t want to observe?
One thing I don’t like is talking to someone who keeps his/her sunglasses on. But we here are moving on into the autumn, so there’s nothing to worry about at the moment! 😉

An orchestra teacher was recently hit by lightning, proving after all, he was a good conductor.
Conductor = “Dirigent”, but also “Stromleiter”.

According to Steven Aitchison, everyone has a secret power. Do the quiz on Steven’s page (link to: stevenaitchison.co.uk) to find out yours.
Look at the message I received after doing the quiz:
“You are very sweet and helpful. You look to help other people before yourself, and you’re very calm and collected. You are the quiet one.”
Well, I’m sure I’m sweet and helpful, but I’m not sure if I’m the quiet one. I’ll have to ask members of my family!

I wonder why this guy (link to: medium.com) is tired of these words:
- online course
- free PDF
- inspiration
- passion and guide
- tips
I can’t say that I agree with me. However, I can understand that he dislikes some of the others!

If you’d like people to see you as being more trustworthy, you need to watch your body language. So what can you do? According to rd.com, you should:
- maintain eye contact
- uncross your arms and legs
- sit in front of your desk rather than behind it
- touch a person lightly on their elbow or shoulder (I actually like doing this, but it’s not acceptable everywhere, so one needs to be very careful!)
- smile and nod
- keep the palms of your hands open
- sit at the same level

How good is your spelling? Why not test yourself with Merriam-Webster’s 10-question online quiz?
Hear the word and write it down as quickly as you can. And then see how you score.
(I posted this about two years ago, but I’ve just discovered it again!)
