I must confess that the last time I read any of Dylan Thomas’s works (and I thought he was great!) was at school. And that’s a long time ago. So this might not be too easy. But, I’m a great fan of Bob Dylan (who, by the way, won the Nobel prize in literature last year for having created “new poetic expressions within the great American song tradition”), so the results might not be that bad …

Another euphemism you might hear or read about is “vertically challenged”. People use it when they want to be more polite about someone being “short” (as opposed to “tall”). It’s a bit of a mouthful, don’t you think?

The Telegraph has published ten phrases that annoy employers most in CVs.
They are:
- “I’m a hard worker”
- “I work well under pressure”
- “I can work independently”
- “I’m a team player”
- “I am a problem solver”
- “Good communicator”
- “I’m proactive”
- I am a good listener”
- “I’m enthusiastic”
- “Excellent written communication skills”
So if you ever need to write a CV in English, remember to avoid these phrases!

How can we become more creative in the next ten minutes? Larry Kim (link to: inc.com) is back with more ideas.
He suggests that we:
- doodle something;
- sign up for a class in something we’ve never done before;
- create the right environment;
- pause the brainstorming and move our bodies;
- start a sketchbook;
- keep toys on our desks;
- engage in flash fiction;
- try the 30 circles test;
- role-play away.
