What can we do in the middle of a challenging or frustrating situation to stop our current thinking pattern? Cesar L. Rodriguez tells us to use a technique from NLP (neuro-linguistic programming) called “pattern interrupt”. So when we’re in annoying situation, we should try rubbing our chins and asking ourselves, “What else could this mean?”. The brain will change from a frustrated to an inquisitive mode and will start focusing on answering the question we have just asked.
