New German words!

Did you know?
How can you start a conversation with a colleague or customer in English? Of course, you can always talk about the weather and other safe topics. But what about starting with a surprising fact? Something like:Â “Did you know that the London Underground is the world’s oldest underground railway?” (It was 150 years old last year!)

Looking for a job?
Okay, varnishing your nails like this might not be a good idea when you’ve been invited to a job interview (but perhaps it depends on the job you’re looking for!). And not every Personnel Manager is impressed by a creative CV/résumé. However, Robby Leonardi, a New York-based designer, seems to have been successful with his Super Mario-inspired CV.
Now that’s creativity at its best. I’m not surprised that he found a job. Are you?
