The Bigger the Better

In German we use the construction, “je … desto“. In English, we say, “the … the“. It’s as easy as that!

Je größer, desto besser. The bigger the better.
Je mehr, desto besser. The more the merrier.
Je mehr du übst, desto besser wirst du. The more you practise, the better you will become.

Just try to remember one of these sentences to use as a kind of template next time you next need it.

The older we grow, the wiser we become.
The more I read, the less I understand.
The more we work, the more we earn.
