There are some lovely words in German, aren’t there? One of them, ‘Quereinsteiger’, is very difficult to translate and doesn’t have an English equivalent. I often hear people talk about “handicapped people”. However, I think we can use more respectful language here. Let’s say that they are “people with disabilities” or “people with special needs”. That sounds so much better, doesn’t it?
