I will stay at the Charlton when I go to Paris next month.

‘Kwik Learning’ provides us with a clear explanation of the Pareto principle. Although the proportion is not always 80/20, the message is generally the same: “the smaller part of the investment generates most of the results”.

You now know that British and American English often spell the same word differently. In British English verbs that can be spelt with either –ize or –ise at the end are always spelt with –ize at the end in American English. Examples are:
British American
apologise/apologize apologize
memorise/memorize memorize
organise/organize organize
realise/realize realize
recognise/recognize recognize
Of course, you can choose whether you’d rather use the American or British way of writing. Just be consistent.

“Do you believe in life after death?” the boss asked one of his employees.

“That’s good,” the boss said. “After you left early yesterday to go to your grandmother’s funeral, she stopped in to see you.”
We know it, don’t we? If we tell a lie, even one of those small white lies, we’ll get caught in it eventually, won’t we?
