British etiquette expert William Hanson tells us how women, who want to belong to the upper class, should dress.
- Tiaras may only be worn by married women and should never be bought, but handed down through the generations.
- A hat is never worn in the evening.
- A straw hat can be worn after Easter. Fabric hats are worn from September onwards.
- In the past it was a major crime for women to wear trousers after six o’clock.
I’m so pleased I can wear what I want, when I want. 🙂
