Germans and their pets

West Highland TerrierPeter Zudeick in his article “Germans and their love for dogs” writes that more than 80 per cent of Germans describe themselves as animal-lovers. However it’s the cat that is Germany’s number one pet! He also writes about the “Wackeldackel” – that nodding toy which was often to be found in German cars.
