Have a holiday – and Christmas greetings!


A ‘gesetzlicher Feiertag’ in British English is a ‘bank holiday’. The next one is on Christmas Day and Boxing Day. And then again on New Year’s Day. If a bank holiday falls on a weekend, a ‘substitute’ weekday becomes a bank holiday. That’s normally on the following Monday. Now isn’t that nice? 😉

By the way, the next bank holiday in Scotland is 2 December (St. Andrew’s Day).

Today is Christmas Eve and I’m waiting for the children to come home. Here’s wishing you a wonderful festive season …
