Ring Any Bells?
If something rings a bell, it means it’s slightly familiar to you. You know you’ve heard it before, but you don’t remember it fully.
An example:
You mentioned the name Amy Whitstable. The name rings a bell, but I really don’t know why. I feel I’ve heard it before, but I have no idea when or where.
Of course, the opposite is also true. If something doesn’t ring a bell, it means that it’s not familiar to you. It doesn’t remind you of anything at all.
An example:
I’m sorry, the name doesn’t ring a bell at the moment.
Now here’s my question to you:
Does the name Diana Frances Spencer ring a bell with you?

Oh yes it does. I was unsure but then i cut the name and ready Diana Spencer. That remembers me at Lady Di, and i smiled.
Thank you. 😀
Hi Christine!
My bell rang immediately😉, as well.
Lady Di is absolutely unforgettable.
Some years ago I visited a wonderful exhibition about her and her dresses an most wonderful fotos .
Have a nice week!

Well done, Gabi. You recognised the name, too!
That exhibition sounds great. Yes, Diana wore some wonderful clothes!
