Two Quick English Tips You’ll Never Forget!

Let’s clear up two small but common mistakes:

1. It’s “Save the date” (not “Safe the date”)

Correct: Save the date for our event on June 5th!
Wrong: Safe the date for our event on June 5th!

Why? “Save” means to keep or remember something for later. “Safe” means not in danger—which doesn’t fit here!

2. It’s a “Live performance” (not “Life performance”)

Correct: I watched a live performance last night.
Wrong: I watched a life performance last night.

Why? “Live” (rhymes with “dive”) means happening right now. “Life” (rhymes with “wife”) is about living—but not performances.

Which of these mistakes have you heard before?
