A Great Question to Reflect on

A Great Question to Reflect on

A Great Question to Reflect on

This is a question James Clear asked in a recent newsletter of his.

“If I keep doing what I am about to do today for the next five years, will I end up with more of what I want or less of what I want?”

I thought it was a great question to reflect on.

A penny for your thoughts? (We use this phrase when we want to know what the other person is thinking. One could translate it as, “Ich würde gern wissen, was Sie jetzt denken/was Du jetzt denkst?”!)

Finding the Right Words

Finding the Right Words

Finding the Right Words

A lot of people seem to struggle when trying to find an acceptable translation for “Online- und Präsenztrainings”.

You’ll find quite a few different terms.

Some people talk about “online”, “remote” or “virtual” training sessions—and then talk about “offline”, “in-person”, “traditional”, “in-class”, “face-to-face”, “on-site” or “in-the-room” training sessions.

If you ask me what I do, I would answer, “I work face-to-face both online and in-person”.

Which words do you use?

10 Ancestral Teachings

10 Ancestral Teachings

The 10 Native American ancestral teachings listed here can act as kind of roadmap to help us live a more balanced and connected life.

1. The Earth is our mother, care for her.
2.
Honour your ancestors through your actions.
3. Open your heart and soul to the Great Spirit.
4. All life is sacred; treat all beings with respect.
5. Take from the Earth what is needed and nothing more.
6. Put the good of all before your own interests.
7. Give constant thanks for each new day.
8. Speak the truth; but only of the good in others.
9. Follow the rhythms of nature; rise and retire with the sun.
10. Enjoy life’s journey, but leave no tracks.

These strong words of wisdom seem so simple, don’t they? But aren’t they easy to forget? That’s why I think it’s good to be reminded now and again.

If we could stick to these teachings, our world would look a lot different.

My favourite at the moment? Give constant thanks for each new day.

And yours?
