No, you can’t say that your colleague is a ‘lucky mushroom’. That won’t work in English. But what you can say is that he or she is a ‘lucky devil‘. And if you can’t remember that, just say, “Oh lucky you” or “You are lucky”.

One point I’d like to make, though. You can’t say that that your colleague ‘has luck’. ‘Glück haben’ is German! 😉

I’ve attended several presentations where the presenters have used laser pointers. I’ve not really given it much thought until now. However, after having watched SMART as Hell‘s short and sweet video clip, I’ve come to the conclusion that they aren’t really helpful at all. The idea is to make good slides so that you don’t need this piece of equipment.!
