More on closing an email or letter
A lot of people are not sure about this here. When you close an email or a letter, you only have to capitalise the first word.
So we write:
Best wishes
Kind regards
Yours sincerely.
On the importance of saying thank you
Gertrude Stein once said, “Silent gratitude isn’t very much to anyone.” And William Arthur Ward, along the same lines, said, “Feeling gratitude and not expressing it is like wrapping a present and not giving it.”
So how can we express our gratitude? Well, we can simply say ‘thank you’ or write a thank you note. Isn’t today a good day to start practising?
Doing business with Austrians
We often used to spend our summer holidays hiking up and down the mountains in Austria. So I’ve grown to love this country. Nowadays you’ll find me more in the capital city. I generally go to Vienna at least once a year. If you’ve never been, you must go one day. It’s one of my favourites!
