In German, when someone says, “Danke”, you most probably reply, “Bitte”. Easy, isn’t it?
But what do you say when someone thanks you in English? You don’t have to say anything. However, if you feel you must, then try some of these phrases:
Thank you!
I’m always happy to help.
Happy to help you.
I’m glad you like it.
My pleasure.
You’re welcome.
I would avoid using ‘no problem’ or ‘not a problem’. We want to be more positive when communicating, don’t we?

Would you know how to behave if you were invited to a dinner party in America? Not to worry. Help is at hand. To prepare yourself, take a close look at
Joanna Goddard’s article about dinner etiquette. It’s a lovely text to read, with some beautiful little illustrations!

When you go into court you are putting yourself in the hands of 12 people who were not smart enough to get out of jury duty. Now that sounds dangerous! 😉

Sitting at work for long periods of time is linked to a number of health problems, according to this article I found on bbc.com. The statistics are quite frightening. So what is the solution? According to “Get Britain Standing“, we need to promote “Active Working”. This means that we should stand up and walk around rather than spend long hours sitting down – and even consider buying or making a sit-stand work station.
