What a great question!
You’re working in Customer Care and a customer asks you a question you can’t answer. Instead of saying, “I’ve never been asked that before”, be more positive and say something like, “That’s a great question. Let me check this out and I’ll come back to you as soon as I can”. Your customer shouldn’t mind waiting.
Thanks a bunch
I know we’ve spoken about saying ‘thank you’ before, but I thought you might like to read MacMillan Dictionary’s blog article on the topic, too. You have to decide whether you need to use more formal or informal language.

What makes Germans German
Okay, you probably don’t need to read the book “How to be German in 50 Easy Steps”, but you might be interested in listening to an interview (link to Deutsche Welle) with its author, Alan Fletcher. Learn what makes Germans German and see how German you are.
