‘It’s’ or ‘its’? That is the question.

It's or its?

A lot of people find this one confusing and, quite honestly, a lot of native English speakers people mix them up!

It’s” means “it is“, as in the sentence: “It’s a great job”. Remember that the apostrophe is there to show you that the ‘i’ has been removed!

Its” is a possessive pronoun (sorry, that it’s a bit technical!), as in the sentence: “This company is known for its great customer service”.

“Never criticize a man until you’ve walked a mile in his mocassins.”
American Indian proverb

This is one of my favourite proverbs as it reminds me not to criticize others too quickly. How can I fully understand what another person has experienced if I’ve never experienced the same or a similar situation?

New German words!

I love these new German words with their meanings in English. Two of my favourites are ‘Schmutzwortsuche’ and ‘Mahlneid’. You don’t know what the mean? Watch the video clip and find out! 😉
