What do an Angel Gabriel, a wicked fairy and English meetings have in common?

When I was in primary school, I was cast as Angel Gabriel in the nativity play. I had lines to memorise. I practised them again and again at home.

But when I stood on stage and saw all those faces. my mind went blank.

And it wasn’t a one-off.

Years later, in secondary school, I played the wicked fairy in Sleeping Beauty… and the same thing happened. I froze again.

That feeling. Knowing what you want to say but not getting it out. My clients feel that too in English meetings.

They know their work. They prepare. But when it’s time to speak, pressure wins and the words hide.

The problem is rarely vocabulary. It’s the nerves that steal your words.

This is why I focus on speaking without overthinking. Your expertise is already there. Your English is already there. You just need space to let it flow.

Stop waiting until your English feels “perfect.” Speak with the English you have now. It’s more than enough.

Ever had your mind go blank at the worst possible moment?
