Christmas is traditionally a time when families get together. This means that a lot of people are getting ready to go home now. But it’s also a time when a lot of people are getting ready to go on holiday – to the sun or to the snow.

Where the tree tops glisten
And children listen
To hear sleigh bells in the snow.”
Irving Berlin

British etiquette expert, William Hanson, shows us in this short video how to eat mince pies. Something that was new to me. You eat them with your left hand!
A mince pie is a small pie filled with mincemeat and fruit that is traditionally served during the Christmas season in the English-speaking world. If you want to make them yourself, try this recipe I found on the BBC website here.
I’ve never made them myself, because I don’t like them. It’s the suet in the filling I don’t like! The very thought of the suet makes me shudder!
