How Lovely Are Your Branches

Christmas wouldn’t be Christmas without a tree.

In our home here in Germany, the tree traditionally goes up on the morning of 24th December.

In England, our tree went up at the beginning of December. And it seems that the last weekend of November has become an increasingly popular date to put the tree up nowadays.

Our Christmas tree in England was decorated quite differently from the tree we have here. It was more colourful. With different coloured glass baubles, tinsel, lametta, paper angels, straw stars, paper chains, small chocolate ornaments wrapped in tin foil—and a star or angel at the top of the tree.

Do you have a Christmas tree?  If so, how do you decorate it?

This is tinsel
