In German, we say in der Nähe.
But in English, we don’t say in the near.
Instead:
Nearby
“There’s a good restaurant nearby.”
Near + place
“The restaurant is near the station.”
Close by
“Don’t worry. I live close by.”
đź’ˇ Quick tip:
Near usually needs something after it.
Nearby can stand alone.
