Here are five search tips you might not know.

• Looking for a timer? Enter a phrase like “five-minute timer”. And—hey presto—you’re ready to go.
• Looking for the definition of a word? Type in the word “define” followed immediately by the word or expression you’d like to have explained.
• You want to know the time in a foreign city? Type in the word “time” followed by the name of the place.
• You need a currency converter? Type in “50 € in GBP” to convert 50 euros to pounds.
• You want to find a company’s contact details quickly? Type in “company name customer service” and their phone number will appear.
